FAME: Florence Abroad Music Experience 2020

Studying abroad and looking to experience all Florence has to offer? Prime Social Group promises an unforgettable weekend while soaking in the city’s breathtaking sights. The second annual FAME: Florence Abroad Music Experience is happening this month. The event is exclusively for students abroad and includes a concert and day-long rave. This weekend-long event is happening from Thursday, February 20th to Saturday, February 22nd. Thursday’s event takes place at Space Club and doors open at 11pm. St. Valentine’s Day in Florence

Love is in the air – and where better way to spend Valentine’s Day than in one of the most romantic cities in the world? Hotel Brunelleschi’s Valentine’s Day Dinner will be taking place on Friday, February 14 th at 7:30pm at the hotel. This year’s fish-based menu consists of dishes such as salmon, squid, sea bream fillet, as well as ravioli, wine and dessert. The dinner costs €69 per person and is open to all, but reservations are recommended. If you’re looking for something a little more flexible, there are numerous locations around the city that are known for their beautiful and romantic views – so throw away that box of chocolates and grab a map! Piazzale Michelangelo is a classic. Why not take romantic photos or propose with the Ponte Vecchio in the background? Almost everyone knows the story of Romeo and Juliet, but what about Dante and Beatrice? You can visit Santa Margherita dei Cerchi Church with someone special and learn more about Dante and Beatrice’s story. Whether it’s a proposal, anniversary or awkward first date, there’s plenty of scenic and romantic locations to visit and celebrate this Valentine’s Day!

Carnival celebrations are heating up in Florence during the month of February!

Come experience Carnival celebrations in Borgo San Lorenzo, which will include lots of music, confetti and streamers. In addition, the program of events will include parades of floats, trains and boats that will make Carnival a wonderful experience for individuals of all ages. Beautiful papier-mâché constructions made by local artists will decorate the neighborhood streets, in the company of children and adults in masks. Carnival events will also be held in Piazza Ognissanti with fun events for children and adults alike. The Borgo San Lorenzo Carnival and the celebrations in Piazza Ognissanti will happen on February the 2nd, 9th, 16th and 22nd.

Mediterranean themed dinner at FUA-AUF’s Ganzo school restaurant

On Thursday, February 13 th , FUA-AUF’s Ganzo school restaurant will host a themed dinner drawing special attention to Mediterranean cuisine. This event will highlight how fundamental Mediterranean ingredients can easily be adapted to meet the requirements of a vegetarian diet. An exclusive menu featuring local fish and seafood prepared by FUA-AUF students and faculty. In addition, pairing various cereals, grains and legumes is sure to create a memorable, tasty meal.
